This just in — Lancaster County recently was ranked #1 in the nation in the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, the preeminent source for health and well-being data in the U.S. We couldn’t agree more with the survey findings, of course.
The data, collected in 2011, measures residents’ overall sense of well-being as well as key sub-indices of well-being, including life evaluation, emotional and physical health, work environment, and basic access in the community.
You can read more about the survey and resulting data here (Lancaster’s ranking appears on page 4 of the report) and find out more about why life is good in Lancaster here.
